Fraudulent use of weights and measures

  • Bogus price claims
  • Unfair small print in contracts
  • Rogue Traders and high pressure doorstep selling
  • Dangerous or unsafe goods and products
  • Counterfeit goods

and are able to offer:

  • advice to consumers on their rights
  • advice to business on the law relating to the sales and supply of goods and services

They also operate a minicom to take calls from those with hearing difficulties. If it is hard for you to use a telephone, ask a relative or friend to call or write a note and they will arrange a home visit.
