Schools in Cheshire

Your local education authority ( LEA ) can advise you on schools in your area and how to get a place for your child.

Nursery School - Children in nursery schools and classes will often be between three and five years old. Some nursery schools will have places for younger children.

Primary Schools - Primary schools generally cater for children between the ages of 4+ to 11 years. Some areas my have separate infant and junior schools.

Secondary Schools - cater for children between the ages of 11 to 16, although some schools may also cater for study up to 18.
