Helplines

Talking is always a good way of dealing with a problem or a worry but sometimes it's not always easy to talk to someone you know. Helplines offer a solution to this problem because they give you the chance to talk to someone anonymously and confidentially.

We've gathered together a range of links, phone numbers and addresses for the most common helplines.  These lists aren't meant to represent all of the helplines that are available, just give you an understanding of the range of information out there to help.

If you don't find a category that fits with your particular issue, we recommend you contact The Samaritans, who offer confidential emotional support 24-hours a day by telephone on 08457 90 90 90 or by email: jo@samaritans.org

These are only a small selection of the helplines available.  If you know of a helpline you would like to see promoted on these pages, please email us at webmaster@chester.gov.uk.
