Pension Advice
With all the stories about pensions in the news lately you can be forgiven for being a bit confused about it all. What pension is right for you, do you have enough for your retirement, when should you start saving into a pension? These are all questions that a lot of us are currently asking..
It is no longer the case that you need to hope your state pension will fill the gap when you stop work, there are other options. These include an occupational pension or private options such as a stakeholder pension or a personal pension.
Types of Pensions
An occupational pension - If you are in work and your employer provides a company pension scheme which they also contribute to, an occupational pension can often be your best option.
A stakeholder pension - You can get this from financial services companies such as insurance companies, banks, investment companies, building societies, and some trade unions.
A personal pension - You can get this from financial services companies, banks, investment companies and building societies.
