Doing Business with the Council

Measured in corporate terms, Chester City Council has an annual turnover of around £60m.  We have a customer base of 120,000 residents, 32,000 people who travel to work in the District every day and over 3 million visitors every year.

The council strives to deliver services in such as way as to bring optimum benefits to users, balancing economic, environmental and social issues.  A key step towards achieving this aim is recognising the mutual benefits that can be achieved through working in partnerships with the private and not-for-profit sectors.

This website is intended as an easy-access guide to help you do business with Chester and brings together information on working with Chester City Council. The way in which procurement decisions are taken and current and future opportunities of selling to the council are included in this site. In addition to that there are some hints on tendering and a copy of our Whistle Blowing Policy.
