Connecting Chester
Connecting Chester coordinates a number of projects that use technology to improve and modernise services and service delivery. The highlights of selected key projects are detailed below:
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System
Enthused by our Customer First Strategy, we are rising to the challenge of becoming more customer focused by delivering what our customers want, in the ways they want it, when they want it. One of the key tools in achieving our aims is the introduction of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Aligned with best practice, Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) is undertaken prior to the introduction of CRM in a service area. BPR involves analysing how we do things, to see if we can do it better and then adapting and improving our business processes based on the results.

Councillor Weblogs
Chesterblogs is the home of Chester City Councillor websites. Weblogs detail what your elected representative has been accomplishing on behalf of your community. Within their individual 'blog' councillors can highlight interests and important news and you are able to comment and make suggestions. Let your local councillor and other readers know your opinion on the topics that are important to you. Visit Chesterblogs today! (External Link).

Countywide Search & A-Z
Have you searched the Chester City Council website or perhaps made use of the A-Z? If so, you will have noticed that the information available is now county-wide:
- The search results page now has two tabs: one for Chester City Council results and a second 'Search Wider - All Cheshire' tab.
- Icons are used within the enhanced A-Z results to indicate whether a service is provided by Chester City Council or Cheshire County Council and even includes links for all other local Cheshire authorities.
The system behind the county-wide A-Z was procured working with our partners as part of Cheshire, Warrington and Halton Information Consortium (CWHIC)(External Link).

Content Management System (CMS), e-Forms, e-Booking & e-Payments

Moving into or out of Chester District? Let Chester City Council know via online change of address. Other online services are also available and we continue to add relevant forms which you can complete and submit online or offline. Current online forms include vacancies at Chester City Council and many more!
Don't just sit there! Use your credit or debit card to book tickets online for an exciting range of events or even make an online payment for council tax, general invoices or car parking fines.
