Fishing Licences

In April 2007 the City Council granted a 5 year Licence to Prince Albert Angling Society (PAAS) for the fishing rights to most of the Council owned stretches of river bank.

Launching and Recovery

Slipways are available to the public for launch and recovery of trailed boats.

All boats must be licensed (as above) at the time of launching. Seasonal permits for launch and recovery are available.

Charges are as follows:

Daily Rate £18.50

Weekly Rate £36.00

Annual Rate £73.65

Lifebelts

We provide and maintain lifebelts along the Council owned river bank. The lifebelts are inspected weekly for condition and repaired as needed. We work hard to ensure that should you ever need to use one, a lifebelt is available and in the best condition.

If you would like to report a damaged or missing lifebelt please contact us.

Riverside Heritage Trails

There are a number of heritage trails <<highlight with link to Heritage Trails>>> along the River Dee including Explore the Riverside Promenade and a trail to Discover Edgar's Field (a park on the southern bank of the river in Handbridge).

When using a craft on the River Dee it is important to make sure that all users adhere to and are aware of the byelaws of the River. To view a full version of the Byelaws follow the link below;
