Biodiversity
Biodiversity describes
the variety of different species, the genetic variability of each
species, and the variety of different habitats that they
form. It is important to preserve the
biodiversity of Chester, as part of the local identity
of the District and for the benefit of the Community as a whole.
The Council does this in a variety
of ways:
- Why is Biodiversity important?
- Biodiversity and Planning
- Local Nature Policies
- National Wildlife Law
- Planning and Protected Species
- Partners
- Site Management
- Cheshire Biodiversity (Cheshire Local Biodiversity Action Plan including Nature Conservation Strategy)
