Fairgrounds

Persons wishing to operate a fairground on Council owned land are required to give the Council prior notice to holding the event.

Each application is treated on its merits and that, if approved, the applicant will be required to enter into a licence for the operation of the fair. The licence is likely to be at a rent.

Applicants need to be aware of the need to involve the Health and Safety Executive (external link), Fire brigade and Ambulance service at an early stage.
