In recent years, much innovative and imaginative commercial and industrial development has taken place in Chester. This has continued to attract further new business and investment: a testament to the city's importance as a focus for business.
Chester Business Park
The largest office park in the North West providing a quality business environment in beautifully landscaped grounds covering 60 hectares.
Just one mile from Chester centre, adjacent to the A55, the Park is already home to many companies including Marks and Spencer Financial Services, MBNA European Bank Ltd, Halifax Bank of Scotland, Bristol-Myers Squibb,and Trinity Mirror Group.
Chester West
An 34 hectares green-field site initiated by Chester City
Council, successfully combining a range of light industrial and
commercial activities, located just a mile from the city centre.
The success of this site currently leaves only a couple of vacant
plots available.
Businesses on this major park include NEBS, Barry Callebaut Ltd, Royal Mail, Strix, B & S Group and Original Bradford Soap.
Chester Gates is a 15 hectares warehousing, distribution, industrial and office site, strategically located alongside junction 16 of the M56 motorway. Occupiers include Booker Cash & Carry, and Deva Manufacturing. The remaining site can be developed on a design and build basis.
Old Port
The regeneration of 5 hectares of derelict and underused land and buildings in Chester's Old Port. A major development proposal includes commercial floorspace, in a modern, high quality environment. It also includes the refurbishment of the railway arches for a mix of new commercial, leisure, cultural and tourist related uses.

These excellent development sites on the outskirts of the city complement numerous other industrial and commercial developments under construction or recently completed in and around the city and its rural district.
