The Kooth Online Counselling initiative is designed to counsel 11-19 years olds and allows for ‘one to one’ contact with trained counsellors who, using their links to Children’s Services, may urge ‘face to face’ support when the young person feels able.

If you're concerned about the safety of a child the NSPCC Child Protection Helpline on 0808 800 5000 is a free, confidential, 24 hour helpline available every day of the year. Get Connected - 0808 808 4994

Get Connected is a free email and telephone helpline that finds young people the best help whatever the problem.  It offers help and advice to young people, whatever their problem – particularly if you’re thinking of running away or leaving home Call 0808 808 4994, this number is offered free by the main mobile phone operators (every day 1pm-11pm) or emails help@getconnected.org.uk or check out their website at http://www.getconnected.org.uk/ (external link)

Runaway Helpline - 0808 800 70 70

The Runaway Helpline helps people under 18 who’ve run away or been forced to leave home.  It's open 24 hours every day and they will not trace where you're calling from. Call 0808 800 70 70 or visit http://www.runawayhelpline.org.uk/ (external link).

Youth Access - 0208 772 9900

Youth Access is the national membership organisation for young people's information, advice, counselling and support services http://www.youthaccess.org.uk/ (external link). You can also phone Youth Access on 0208 772 9900 (Mondays to Fridays 9am-1pm and 2pm-5pm).

Brook Young Peoples Information Service - 0800 0185 023

If you think you might be pregnant, and need to talk to someone about what to do next, contact Brook Young Peoples Information Service. They also offer free confidential information about sexual health and contraception. Call 0800 0185 023 (Mondays to Fridays 9am-5pm). Young Minds

Young Minds offers support to young people and their parents on a range of mental health issues. They have some helpful booklets especially for young people on subjects such as self-injury, depression, sexual abuse, bullying and eating disorders. EACH - Educational Action Challenging Homophobia - 0117 974 3795

If you're a young person affected by homophobia or an adult concerned about a young person, EACH - Educational Action Challenging Homophobia offers support for young people including the children of a gay or lesbian parent.
