Where Now for the Chester Amphitheatre?

A second public workshop is being run on Thursday 16 March (6.30pm – 9pm) at The Guildhall, Watergate Street, continuing the period of consultation in which the major issues affecting the Roman monument are being discussed. The workshop will concentrate on the comments and discussions from the initial workshop in February and other comments received.

The first public workshop was run on Thursday 2 February (6.30pm – 9pm) at The Guildhall, Watergate Street.

This marked the start of a period of consultation in which the major issues affecting the Roman monument will be discussed. The workshop concentrated on the future conservation, interpretation and development of the site.

The workshop was open to everybody, and included a brief presentation from Chester City Council archaeologists and English Heritage. There was also an opportunity to discuss ideas in small groups.
