Chester City Council’s Explorers’ Club had an opportunity to join the archaeologists for the second year running. The children aged between 8 and 16 were told about some of the exciting discoveries that the excavation had revealed.

They were then taught how to carry out basic excavation and surveying techniques, and carry out finds cleaning and processing in the nearby Visitors’ Centre. Chris Riley aged 10 said “The stuff we do at the Explorers’ Club is good fun. Washing the finds was REALLY exciting”.
