
This page holds all finds which are basically date from the last 100 years or so. Obviously a lot of the finds are regarded as rubbish, but today's rubbish is tomorrows archaeology.


Enamel school badges, one says ‘VICE PREFECT’ and the other ‘DSH’ or ‘DHS’. The badges may have been lost by pupils at the Dee House Ursuline Convent School. Does anyone recognise them? Can anyone give us some information about the shield-shaped badge was it the school badge or perhaps a house badge? If you can email us at enquiries@chesteramphitheatre.co.uk.

A lid with a black transfer-printed label. The pot contained 'Oriental toothpaste' prepared by 'Jewsbury & Brown' a well known company of Manchester chemists who sold their products world wide. This lid probably dates from during the second half of the 19th and the early 20th century.
