Arabarri

Image of ArabarriArabarri is a public company entrusted with the task of managing the cultural heritage of the province of Álava. Álava is a region of around 3,000 km², located in the Basque Country in Spain. Arabarri, which is dependent on the Provincial Council and the associated Town Councils, has as its objective that of promoting the awareness, the conservation and the rehabilitation of the buildings which form part of the Cultural Heritage of Álava. Among other lines of action, Arabarri offers its collaboration in each and every one of the phases involved in the purchase and rehabilitation of buildings in the 25 Historic Centres of Álava, simplifying the procedures of access to aids and subsidies from the corresponding institutions.
ARABARRI forms a reference source for all areas related to the Architectonic Cultural Heritage: directing the inclusion of heritage protection criteria in regional planning at provincial level; channelling the various initiatives of heritage recuperation, dealing with the public, as a single window in the Administration, in the areas of restoration-rehabilitation, and coordinating all the agents, both public and private, involved in Heritage Protection.
