CABC Secure Radio Network

This is a modern trunk based system, which is secure from unauthorised listening, linked via handset to the Chester CCTV control room and the Business Crime Manager. The radios allow businesses and CCTV to exchange information about the activity of criminals or suspects within the city.

They let business staff, security personnel and the Police know who is heading their way. The radios also allow users to summon assistance from other members of the scheme within their immediate vicinity.

When on duty, the local Police officers also carry a radio. In the case of an evacuation or other emergency, the CABC system can be expanded to include emergency services and other users.
