New Powers

The Community Safety Wardens have been granted new powers that will enable them to request details from people committing minor offences, issuing fixed penalty notices for truancy and the power to confiscate alcohol from under age drinkers.

The Lache Estate

The Lache estate had a dedicated team of Wardens who provide the same service as the District teams but on a more focused scale.

Other schemes and duties

The Community Safety Wardens are continously involved in a number of activities and schemes.

Smart Water is a property marking initiative which aids the prevention, detection and recovery of property in the case of burglary.

Regular patrols of the City are carried out on a daily basis, often with the police especially around events such as the Chester races.
