Chester in Partnership LogoBeyond Boundaries - Helping people work together

Information and support material

This module has been designed to respond to the Training Needs Analysis' identification of the following topics as priorities:

  • How to identify available resources from across diverse mainstream services which can be focused on delivering the community strategy.
  • How to achieve co-operation across organisational and professional boundaries.
  • How to communicate and build effective relationships with partners.
  • How to "think outside the box" (i.e. creatively and challenging traditional professional boundaries).
  • How to work with leaders of stakeholder groups and build a coalition.
  • How to involve the private sector in partnership working.

A key issue to emerge from the TNA interviews and focus groups was the need for people from different sectors and from different organisations to learn about each other and appreciate each other's perspectives. This module aims to address this issue.
