Regulatory Judgements

This section acts as a 'one stop shop' to allow our customers  access to summarised information from the most recent inspections and regulatory judgements made on the public sector agencies serving Chester residents and stakeholders.

The quantity and level of information is aimed at the non-specialist consumer with links being provided to either the full report or the source from which a full report may be obtained.  Please also note that as a true picture of the current performance of an organisation some information may already be out of date as agencies have put into action improvements in response to judgements on performance at inspection. The section is being developed as part of the Audit Commission's pilot on Area Profiling, a project that like Chester Today is aiming to improve the availability and communication of information on local areas.

Because public sector agencies vary so widely in the way they are organised and deliver services the regulatory bodies that carry out audits on them also employ a wide range of tools and methods to measure the quality of services delivered. 

These summarised reports are therefore presented in a wide range of formats that may make comparisons between agencies more difficult.    However, we hope that the summaries give you some useful information and a general picture of the quality of publicly funded organisations in Chester District.
