West Chester Regeneration

New Approaches

This approach is to seek the long-term engagement of key public, private, voluntary and community interests in Chester to the regeneration of communities in need in the West Chester area.

The proposals have evolved out of a thorough review of the performance of current actions, achievements and work practices in the West Chester SRB area. A brief summary of the review, its conclusions and initial recommendations for change is given in Section 2 of this report.

The principles underpinning this approach have been subject to extensive consultation. Section 3 of this report summaries the consultation process and feedback, and the links to the National Neighbourhood Renewal Action Plan.

The detailed proposals, and actions taken to implement them, are outlined in Section 4 of this report and associated appendices.
