E-Petitions

Petitions have long been sent to the Prime Minister by post or delivered to the Number 10 door in person. You can now both create and sign petitions on the Downing Street website (external link) too, giving you the opportunity to reach a potentially wider audience and to deliver your petition directly to Downing Street.

Downing Street is working in partnership with the non-partisan charitable project mySociety to provide a service to allow citizens, charities and campaign groups to set up petitions that are hosted on the Downing Street website, enabling anyone to address and deliver a petition directly to the Prime Minister.

The e-petition system has been designed to be transparent and trustworthy.

For more information, to set up or to signa petition, visit the E-petitions website at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/ (external link)
