Polling Station Review
The Electoral Administration Act 2006 introduced a duty for all relevant authorities to conduct a review of the designated polling districts and polling places for Parliamentary constituencies.
Notice is hereby given that a review of all polling districts and polling places in the district will take place during the next few weeks.
We are looking for feedback on any aspect of polling districts and or polling places currently used and invite representations and comments from all interested persons, along with any suggestions of alternative places that may be used as polling places. Details of the polling stations currently used by the authority are listed below.
As part of the review, the Returning Officer will be consulted on the Council’s proposed polling arrangements and the Returning Officer’s comments will be published during the review.
Local political parties and Councillors will be consulted and views are invited on the Councils proposals, the Returning Officer’s representations or any other matter.
We are also seeking the views of any person or groups possessing particular expertise in relation to access to premises for persons with a disability.
Comments should be submitted in writing to the Electoral Registration Officer, The Forum, Chester, CH1 2HS
Alternatively, Email us at elreg@chester.gov.uk
If you require any further information regarding this review, please telephone Electoral Services on 01244 402142.
