A Medieval Market - 11 August 2008

This summer The Grosvenor Museum hosts two exhibitions which explore the city’s Medieval history. "Chester Mystery Plays" traces the development of the Plays, whilst the other "Behind Sacred Doors", looks at the creation of the Cathedral through the eyes of the people who lived and worked in the Medieval Abbey.

Launch of Chester's Community Toilet Scheme - 5 August 2008

Chester will be one of the first authorities in the North West to launch a 'Community Toilet Scheme' this week (Tuesday 5 August). Chester's Town Crier officially proclaimed the launch of the Scheme at the Slug and lettuce, one of the participating businesses. The Community Toilet Scheme aims to provide access to more clean and safe toilets. The scheme is a partnership between Chester City Council and local businesses.
