Parish Councils on the Web
Parish and Town councils are the closest level of government to the community they represent. They are an elected body of councillors and have powers ranging from the provision of allotments to the provision of swimming pools!

Littleton
http://www.littletonparish.com/ (external link) - Littleton was first recorded in 1435. Although often in the shadow of its bigger neighbour, Christleton, Littleton or Little Christleton as it was first known, has its own community and an interesting history. The A51 Tarvin Road and Fir Tree Lane were original Roman roads connecting Chester to Roman garrisons in the north, the former was also part of the famous London-Holyhead post road.

Upton-by-Chester
http://www.uptonbychester.org.uk/ (external link)- This largely residential community of approx 8600 people is within the City of Chester in England but lies outside the City Walls to the northeast. The site is managed by the Parish Council with the History link managed by the Local History Group.
Waverton
