Payment for penalty charge notices issued after 8 January 2009

Payment for a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) must be received not later than 28 days of the date of issue. If payment is received not later than 14 days of the date of issue, a 50% reduction in the Penalty Charge will be accepted as settlement.

(If no payment is made not later than 28 days of the date of issue, a ‘Notice To Owner’ will be sent to the registered keeper of the vehicle, requesting payment).

How to pay

1. By post (please allow for postal delays)

Cheques/Postal Orders to be made payable to Chester City Council. Please write the Penalty Charge Notice number and your vehicle registration number on the reverse of the cheque. Send your payment together with the slip attached to the PCN to:
Chester City Council, Parking Services, PO Box 1442, Chester CH1 2WY.

2. By telephone

Credit/debit card payments can be made by calling 01244 402633.  Please ensure you have your card details and Penalty Charge Notice to hand.
