Northern Marches England Leader+ Programme

 

This is a European Community Initiative for assisting rural communities in improving the quality of life and economic prosperity of their local areaa 

Leader+ is part funded by the European Agriculture Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF) of the EU and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). This programme is also supported by Advantage West Midlands.

The Northern Marches England Programme serves the rural part of south west Cheshire and north Shropshire.

• Over 80 projects have been supported so far
• Partnerships are being developed with other Leader + programmes in Italy, Spain, Greece and Finland
• In 2006 we particularly want to attract projects which provide assistance to small businesses with advice and training, or projects which provide training in environmental/conservation skills or provide environmental advice to small businesses.
• Projects must be completed before the end of 2007.
