The Landscape Team have a variety of responsibilities, with the aim of implementing local environmental improvements in response to current policy and strategies.

Landscape and Open Space Policy

The Council recognises that open spaces and landscape features in the District's built environment is fundamental to the "quality of life". Through Local Plan policy we aim to protect and enhance the important landscape framework and features of Chester and the villages.

Development Consultation

The Landscape Team seeks to ensure that development does not adversely affect the landscape character that is special to Chester District. As specialist consultees in the planning process we offer advice and professional opinion.

Strategy

Development and implementation of the Open Space Investment Strategy.

Environmental Improvements

Design and delivery of a  broad range of open space improvements to meet local need and positively impact on the quality of life for people in Chester District.
