Requests for Plans for Planning Applications

You will see from the notes on the planning application forms that you need to submit certain types of plans with your application. You will need to put in large scale detailed drawings of your proposal (eg. extension, conservatory, garage etc.) and also a LOCATION PLAN. The submission of clear and up to date plans will help the Council deal with your application more speedily and will help to eliminate mistakes that can occur with inaccurate or old base plans.

Location Plans online

Location plans can now be produced on line using Centremaps. Centremapslive is an on-line mapping portal that gives you instant access to Ordnance Survey mapping for anywhere in mainland Great Britain from any PC or MAC with an internet connection. The user is able to purchase large-scale Ordnance Survey maps for planning or other purposes on this site. There is also an extensive range of additional mapping products available including environmental reports, historical data, aerial imagery, height data, street level mapping and many others. To access this service simply log-on and register at Centremaps Live  (external link).

What size and scale of Maps do you need?

All Planning Applications require an Ordnance Survey location map at 1:1250 or 1:2500 scale.

Location Maps at 1:1250 / 1:2500 scale are £25.00 per set (6 or 10 copies)

Written requests can be made enclosing a cheque (payable to Chester City Council) to the address below.
