Hollyoaks
Hollyoaks was first broadcast on October 23 1995. Created by Phil Redmond whose previous hit programmes include Grange Hill and Brookside, the show attracts a weekly audience of three million.
Set in Chester the programme increased from one episode a week up to the present five nights a week. Hollyoaks is produced by Mersey Television at their Liverpool studios. The cast and crew are regular visitors to Chester for location filming.
