Chester Image Bank

Our collection includes historic photographs, postcards, sketches and prints from collections held in the Chester City Archives (now Cheshire and Chester Joint Archive Service)

You can search for pictures of the Eastgate Clock, Chester Cathedral, Chester's Town Hall and also for images of transport, industry and countryside in Chester District through the centuries.

The Chester Image Bank is a growing collection. We welcome the opportunity to include pictures loaned to us by members of the public. If you have any old photographs, sketches or drawings related to Chester and its district and would like them to be included in the Image Bank please contact us.
