The Sound of the Suburbs

This photographic display looks at the development of the main
suburbs of Chester and how they have evolved into today’s local communities. Local history groups and historians have
contributed images and information, and the result is an evocative reminder of times gone by in these areas around the city.

Off  the Beaten Track Featuring Chester Carvings: a photographic exhibition by City Guide Tom Hand

For both visitors and local residents alike, our latest joint exhibition reveals some of Chester District’s lesser known historic hot spots – as well as encouraging us to take a closer look at some of the unique carvings and features of our local buildings.
