Minerva Festival

The Grosvenor Museum, Chester and Edgar’s Field, Handbridge
25 and 26 May 2008, 10-4 pm

 

Join in our special celebrations at Minerva’s shrine in Edgar’s Field and discover more about it, along with a replica, at the Museum.  Come and meet the Romans and Minerva’s owl.  There will be a variety of activities and demonstrations at both venues, including a Roman blacksmith, leatherworkers, potters, dancers and crafts for you to take part in.  A small encampment will be at Minerva’s shrine and there will be priestly offerings each day.
