Chester teams up with the Northern Kite Group for the fifth annual Chester Kite Festival on the 20 & 21 September. This popular event will include internationally acclaimed exhibition flying, synchronised acrobatics, altitude sprint, buggy displays, power kites and a host of truly spectacular kite designs.

There's also the famous Bear Drop - bring your teddy bear along for a parachute jump he won't forget. Kite making workshops and stalls. Bring your own kite or make one there.

This years Kite Festival is held on the Roodee, Chester Racecourse, entry is free. There is ample parking available for £3.50 all day. The Festival is open between 10am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday.

Make an Eagle Kite

Why not have a go at making your own Eagle kite to fly. Follow the instructions and bring along your hand made kite.
